Grandpa, Richard LaRaviere, in fulfilling a lifelong dream put himelf and his two son's, Matthew age 12, and Joe age 16, through Auction school. Growing up in the family Auction business, Matthew and Joe went on to become successful Auctioneers. Today, Matthew conducts his Auction operation based in Galax, Virginia and Joe conducts his Florida Auction operation based out of Sarasota, Florida. Now, Stephen LaRaviere, Matthew's 21 year old son, is an auctioneer in the company and is hoping to pass up his Dad as an auctioneer.

In the beginning, the standard Auction method was provided to the sellers, where everything was sold at one location with buyers traveling across the Southeast to attend. In order to purchase something you had to be present to bid.

Today, all this has changed. While we still conduct live Auctions on-site, we now offer on-line bidding through our own web site and on several other sites including EBAY.com, and others. Now, with an increasing buyers base, our buyers are now spread out over 15 states and several countries. This has opened and welcomed the world to our Auctions and is increasingly improving the actual selling prices received for our buyers. We sell Real Estate, Personal Property, Business Inventory, and anything else of value.

Matthew, with his wife Becky of 23 years, together with their six children reside in Hillsville Virginia. The children are now beginning to work in the family business. We thank God for his goodness and His continued presence in our lives.
